Meeting House

Meeting House Room

Our Meeting House is available for use by non-profit organizations for a reasonable fee. Our space includes:

  • a large, main room which seats 50 people
  • a smaller room adjacent to the main room with a piano
  • a library of Quaker materials which seats 6-8 people
  • a full-size kitchen
  • 2 meeting rooms upstairs which seat 6-10 people each
  • A playroom and a large backyard with playground

The first floor is wheelchair accessible, however, the second floor is not wheelchair accessible. Please keep this in mind when planning your event. There is a wheelchair accessible bathroom on the first floor.

If you have never used the Meeting House before, you must fill out an application. A PDF of the application form can be downloaded here: AFM House Application (PDF) and mailed, or scanned and emailed to the caretakers. Please allow plenty of time for your application to be considered, since Trustees only meet once a month.

Once you are approved for use of the Meeting House (and have paid your key deposit for ongoing events such as weekly group meetings), contact the caretakers to receive your key and schedule your event. You can email or call the Meeting House at (518) 436-8812.

You must get confirmation from the caretakers that your event is scheduled.

Our calendar is available online for your convenience.

If your event is open to the public and you would like to add it to our newsletter, please email the event information to our Newsletter Editor maggy.wiard@yahoo.com  by the 26th of the month to be included in the next month’s newsletter. We welcome you to join our community!

Community is a place where the connections felt in the heart make themselves known in the bonds between people, and where the tugging and pulling of those bonds keep opening up our hearts.
